Play Games at the Library
Join others at libraries all across the country as they attempt to set a record for the most people playing a board game at once. Hasbro has generously donated Pictureka!, a "frantic finders keepers" game, to every public library in the U.S. You can play it here at KPL on Sat., Nov. 15th from 9 am to1 pm.
Welcome Billy!
We are very excited to welcome Billy, our new R.E.A.D. dog to the library on Tuesday, Nov. 18th. Billy is a 3 -1/2 year old black lab/wire-haired terrier mix who will be volunteering the third Tuesday of each month from 5:30-6:30 pm with his trainer, Lisa Karakostas, as part of the Reading Education Assistance Dogs program. This program allows kids the opportunity to practice their reading skills and gain self-confidence in a relaxing and fun atmosphere by reading to a very special dog. Call the library to sign up for a 10 minute appointment to read to Billy.Storyteller Meg Gilman Returns Dec. 9th!
Meg Gilman returns to the Kensington Public Library on Tues., Dec. 9th at 7:00 pm to present "Winter Solstice : Light Amidst the Dark", a program of holiday stories for all ages. People who saw Meg's performance during our Summer Reading Program last July loved it. If you didn't get to see Meg then, don't miss her this time!Staff
